Our Staff
Sarah-Mae (veterinary nurse)
Sarah-Mae has worked for us on a fulltime basis since May of 2005, and graduated with her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing from Unitec in 2004. Previously Sarah-Mae has spent many years working as a part-time and casual veterinary nurse for both us and other veterinary clinics. Currently with 2 cats, 2 horses and a bunny, she still finds time to ride her horses and spend time with her family.
Kathryn (veterinary nurse)
(Employed by Franklin Vets but allocated to our service) Kathryn has been with us since May of 2005. She completed her Certificate in Veterinary Nursing in 2005, then Diploma in Veterinary Nursing via correspondence through Otago Polytech in 2009. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her pets (2 cats, 2 dogs, and a horse), friends, family, and playing soccer.
Derek (administration)
Now spending more time at the clinic, he is Ruth’s personal support staff who dabbles in most areas of the business. Previously house husband for Ruth’s two boys, he has a background as a quality systems consultant, auditor, ambulance officer and member of the boy’s school’s board of trustees.
