Our Staff
Ashleigh (veterinary nurse)
Joining us in February 2012, Ashleigh completed her Dipolma of Veterinary Nursing at Unitec in 2011 and has recently starting working for us fulltime. Outside of work Ashleigh and her dog Max go for long walks in the park and practice good behaviour training. She loves spending time friends and on the weekends enjoys working with her family on their avocado farm.
Kathryn (veterinary nurse)
(Employed by Franklin Vets but allocated to our service) Kathryn has been with us since May of 2005. She completed her Certificate in Veterinary Nursing in 2005, then Diploma in Veterinary Nursing via correspondence through Otago Polytech in 2009. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her pets (2 cats, 2 dogs, and a horse), friends, family, and playing soccer.
Sarah-Mae (veterinary nurse, casual / relief)
Sarah-Mae worked for us on a fulltime basis from May of 2005, but since March 2012 is a devoted fulltime mum. With with her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing from Unitec in 2004, Sarah-Mae has spent many years working as a veterinary nurse for both us and other veterinary clinics. She now devotes her time to her growing family.
Derek
(business manager)
Now spending more time at the clinic, Derek is the administrative support behind the scenes. He also gets involved to some degree in most other areas of the business. He has a background as a quality systems consultant, auditor, ambulance officer, vet receptionist, and is a member of the boy’s school board of trustees.
